Hi Al, I’m Lindsay, a UX and Product Designer with experience working freelance and at a startup.

I came across Wethos on Built in NYC and was immediately drawn to the company’s mission. As a freelance designer and volunteer for pro bono projects, I’ve experienced firsthand the broken aspects of the structure of freelance work - lack of engagement, limited opportunity for impact, communication barriers, to name a few! I’m passionate about the opportunity provided by freelance work and the sense of collaboration and creativity it can inspire. But, freelancers shouldn’t have to compromise important aspects of their career.

I design products that solve problems for other people and, after reading more about the origins of Wethos, feel strongly that I can contribute a perspective that would help to improve the experience of remote work.

My experience

I have previous professional experience at a startup where I learned how to collaborate effectively and be flexible in an extremely agile work environment. As a designer, I have been successful collaborating with remote teams and navigating the challenges of remote work firsthand. My design process is research-driven but I love to channel my art background to turn research into visual solutions through branding and beautiful UI.
